Xixi National Wetland Park, Zhejiang province
(西溪国家湿地公园 xī xī guó jiā shī dì gōng yuán)
Situated in the western part of Hangzhou, less than 5 kilometers from the West Lake, Xixi National Wetland Park is an urban wetland with rich ecological resources, stunning natural landscape and profound culture.
About 70 percent of the park is covered by streams, ponds, lakes and swamps, with six long rivers forming a tangled network. The park is dubbed "the Kidney of Hangzhou".
Thanks to its picturesque waterways and rural landscape, Xixi National Wetland Park has always been an ideal location for artists and writers to create poems, calligraphy, paintings and epigrams.
