Maoshan Mountain, Zhenjiang
(镇江市句容茅山景区 zhèn jiāng shì jù róng máo shān jǐng qū)
The Maoshan Mountain Scenic Area, located southeast of Jurong, Jiangsu province, is in the hinterland of Nanjing, Zhenjiang and Changzhou.
It enjoys convenient transport, as many highways pass through it, including Huning Highway, Yanjiang Highway, 104 National Road and 312 National Road.
Maoshan Mountain is a famous Taoist holy place, and was one of China's six anti-Japanese bases in mountainous areas.
Its attractions include nine mountains, 19 springs, 26 caves and 28 pools. The highest peak is Damao Mountain at an altitude of 372.5 meters.
