Founded on February 24, 1958, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, Affiliated to Capital Medical University (北京朝阳医院), is a level III A hospital integrating medical care, teaching, scientific research and prevention under direct leadership of the Beijing Municipal Administration of Hospitals.
The hospital has two campuses (Headquarters and West Branch), covering a total area of 102,800 square meters, and a floor area of 210,000 sq m. It provides annual emergency treatment of 3,866,000 person-times, annual inpatient treatment of over 78,000 person-times, and about 29,000 operations per year.
Respiratory disease is the hospital's national key specialty under the Ministry of Education.
