Tianqiao Theater, a first-class theater completed in 2000, is located in the southern part of Beijing, neighboring the Temple of Heaven, Beijing Natural History Museum, Xiannongtan Stadium, and Liulichang Cultural Street, National Ballet of China, China Opera and Dance Drama Theater, etc.

Tianqiao Theater was first established in 1953 as the first theater after the founding of People's Republic of Chima. The new theater was finished in March 2001.

The theatre was the first comprehensive theater established in the new China. Its high-level and multi-functional stage, lighting and audio system also meet the requirements for dance, drama and orchestra performances.

In front of the theatre, a cultural square covering an area of 2,000 square meters is being built. The theatre itself consists of four sections: Lobby, Auditorium, Stage and Swan Lake Hotel. The whole building is under the control of automatic central air conditioning system and guarding & monitoring system. With the advantage of its grand and elegant architecture design, magnificent decoration,comfortable VIP lounges and unique box lounges, advanced lighting and audio system and stage machinery, Tianqiao Theatre is known as one of the most luxurious theaters in Beijing.
