Check out this black-lacquered drum with bird-and-tiger-shaped racks, one of the top ten treasures of the Hubei Provincial Museum epitomizing rich Chu cultural features! Alongside it, bronze ware from the Shang and Zhou dynasties (c.16th century-256 BC) and wooden or bamboo slips from the Qin and Han dynasties (221 BC-AD 220), as well as gold and jade ware dating back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) vividly illustrate the unique historical evolution and cultural beliefs of Hubei.
