Laolongtou cemetery: Showcasing bronze culture in Sichuan

Unveiling the treasures of the Bronze Age in ancient China! A total of 1,893 tombs have been excavated at the Laolongtou cemetery in Yanyuan county, Sichuan province, with the tombs dating from the late Shang Dynasty (1600–1046 BC) to the early Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–25 AD).

The excavations have unearthed over 7,000 artifacts, ranging from pottery, bronzeware, ironware, goldware to stone tools. These relics offer a glimpse into the ancient interactions and exchanges between Northwest and Southwest China, showcasing the rich and diverse Yanyuan bronze culture.
