Contemporary artist’s jade carvings on display in Jiangsu

Wu Zaofa is a contemporary artist famous for his Shanghai-style jade carving, which emerged in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Wu’s creations capture the landscapes of his hometown Wuyuan in Jiangxi, as well as diverse plants and animals.

More than 60 exquisite Wu jade carvings are now showcased at the Suzhou Museum in Jiangsu. Marvel at the intricacies of his craftsmanship and immerse yourself in the charms of nature!
