On March 11, the Panda Express special tourist train carrying more than 500 tourists become the first special tourist train to arrive in Yantai this year, after traveling directly from Chengdu West Station.

The special tourist train, which is operated by China Railway Chengdu Group, was put back into operation after being repainted.

This journey marked the first use of a combined railway and ferry tourist route. After visiting Yantai, Shandong, tourists will board the Xinxiang Xuelan ferry to South Korea.

In recent years, Yantai has seen a boost in the number of both domestic and foreign tourists thanks to its efforts to explore new ways to integrate rail travel with tourism and make use of special trains and rail lines.
