The Ministry of Culture and Tourism's recently published list of 10 leading magician talent includes two individuals from the Rudong Junior Acrobatics Troupe in Nantong.

Ding Yang, one of the honored Nantong magicians, serves as the deputy director of the acrobatics troupe. Formerly an acrobat, Ding started practicing conjuring tricks in 2006 and quickly emerged as a rising star.

Ding's Moonlight Doves act has won the China Acrobatics Golden Chrysanthemum Awards, the highest award for acrobatics in China, and the FISM World Championship of Magic. Ding has also been invited to participate in Television programs in both China and the US.

Zhu Mingzhu works as the vice-general manager of the Nantong Acrobatics Troupe Performing Arts Co. Starting his studies in magic during university, Zhu has created the world's first magic show themed on paper planes, which has helped him secure the China Acrobatics Golden Chrysanthemum Awards and the FISM World Championship of Magic.

To cultivate outstanding talent in creating and performing magic shows, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism launched a talent development program in 2022. Twenty magicians selected from around the country received systematic training sessions last year, with 10 of the best receiving the title of leading magician talent.
