The public security bureau of Tongzhou district in Nantong, Jiangsu province, recently introduced six new measures serving foreign talents, aiming to provide a more favorable living environment to the growing number of expatriates in the district.

These measures encompass services such as warning alerts, regular visits, dedicated service windows, collaborative efforts, data support and emergency response.

The dedicated service windows for foreign talents ensure efficient and professional consultation services for document processing and assist employers in preparing required materials, said Gu Jian, head of the bureau's exit-entry administration team.

According to Gu, a fast-track channel has also been implemented for foreign talents with urgent matters, facilitating prompt communication with higher-level departments for expedited document processing.

Kris, hailing from Canada, has been in Tongzhou for over a decade. He has witnessed the positive changes in services for foreign residents. He said, "Nowadays, the visa application process is more convenient than before, requiring fewer documents and taking less time."

Looking ahead, Gu expressed the bureau's commitment to exploring new approaches and methods to serve talents, ensuring that these services continue to improve the living environment better for expatriates.
