The Yantai Paper-cutting Intangible Cultural Heritage Folk Exhibition was held in Gunsan, South Korea on Feb 2.

In celebration of the approaching Spring Festival, the special cultural event offered people in Gunsan the chance to experience the art of Yantai paper-cutting and the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture.

Yantai paper-cutting is one of the most famous folk arts in Yantai, leaving a major cultural imprint on the city. In 2008, the art was included in the first group of national intangible cultural heritage forms in China.

At the event, staff members from Yantai provided detailed explanations of the cultural origins and different styles of paper-cutting as well as the meaning behind them, giving the people of Gunsan a deeper understanding of their cultural significance.
