NHC vice-minister meets with president of GE Healthcare

Zeng Yixin, vice-minister of China's National Health Commission (NHC), recently met with a delegation of GE Healthcare led by its President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Arduini in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on promoting innovation in healthcare.

Zeng thanked GE Healthcare for its contributions to the development of China's health undertakings, stating that the NHC has always prioritized the health and well-being of the people and actively pushed forward technological innovation, so as to ensure that medical and pharmaceutical technological achievements continuously benefit public health.

He also expressed the hope that GE Healthcare will make continuous progress in the innovative research and development of medical equipment and welcomed its participation in China's technological projects in the health sector.

Arduini said GE Healthcare attaches great importance to its development and opportunities in China, noting that it will continue to explore the field of medical technological innovation and the application of digital technology to enhance accessibility to high-quality medical services at the grassroots level.

Both sides pledged their commitment to fully leverage medical services as a bridge between China and the United States, and to benefit the health of the people in both countries with medical science and technology. They also expressed willingness to strengthen communication and collaboration to play a greater role in advancing the development of China's health undertakings.
