An exhibition showcasing the results of preserving unearthed lacquerware took place on Jan 6 inside the Yangzhou Museum, attracting a number of international students from countries such as India, Nepal, and Bangladesh.

During the visit, skilled cultural heritage restorers brought to life nearly a hundred lacquerware pieces that had been buried underground for centuries.

On the same day, the Yangzhou-based exchange students had the opportunity to engage in face-to-face discussions with talented lacquerware artisans at the Yangzhou Lacquerware Factory. They gained insights into the lacquerware production process and witnessed live demonstrations of the unique craftsmanship.

Under the guidance of factory staff, the students also tried their hand at creating their own lacquer art pieces, experiencing the enchanting allure of this traditional art form.
