The GDP of Quzhou in Zhejiang province in the first three quarters of this year stood at 153.17 billion yuan ($21.39 billion), a year-on-year increase of 7.7 percent, according to authorities.

This outstanding achievement was largely due to the local government's efforts to promote high-quality development in recent years.

For example, authorities have been focusing on advancing the in-depth integration of industrial, innovation, talent, fund, and service chains to establish a modern industrial system.

The city has been channeling more resources into fostering industry-leading enterprises to bolster its six pillar industries – new materials, new energy, integrated circuit, intelligent equipment, healthcare, and specialty paper.

The added value of Quzhou's large-scale industries from January to October of this year registered a year-on-year increase of 8 percent.

Authorities have also taken a series of actions, including providing subsidies to high-tech enterprises, cooperating with universities and research institutes to establish innovation platforms, and attracting high-caliber talent, to improve the business environment.

In addition, the local government has rolled out a raft of policies, including providing stimuli to encourage enterprises to undergo intelligent upgrading and digital transformation, offering government services to help enterprises get listed, and diversifying investment attraction, to achieve sustainable development.
