The third Zhuhai Arts Festival - organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Zhuhai Municipal Committee and the Zhuhai Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism & Sports - will open on Oct 12, bringing a cultural feast to locals.

Compared with the previous two sessions, this year's event is expected to offer better and more diverse content, with nearly 100 exhibitions and performances scheduled over one month.

The number of performances by international art troupes has significantly increased, including the Mariinsky Ballet from Russia and the Little Singers of Saint Marc from France.

The festival will feature six major sections, including stage performances, themed art exhibitions, as well as exhibitions and performances from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Additionally, there will be exhibitions and performances by young artists - all striving to deeply integrate diverse forms of art with the vibrant city of Zhuhai.

During the month-long festival, more than 30 art groups will present over 40 stage performances. Audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy performances such as the Mariinsky Ballet's Don Quixote and Swan Lake, as well as the China National Opera & Dance Drama Theater's Confucius.

An important platform for promoting local art creations and achievements, the festival will also present a collaborative production of the original modern Cantonese opera, The Silent Merit, by artists from Zhuhai and nearby Macao.

Additionally, a diverse array of artistic experiences will be presented, such as original song concerts, Cantonese opera performances, and multiple concerts by the Zhuhai Traditional Chinese Orchestra, offering a wide-ranging taste of Zhuhai's artistic atmosphere.

The festival will also feature a variety of exhibitions, including fine arts, photography, and cultural relics. A national art invitation exhibition will be held to showcase outstanding works by renowned artists.

Furthermore, the festival will bring together young artists and performers from universities in Zhuhai to show their talents.

This year's event will demonstrate the accomplishments of cultural exchanges among Zhuhai, Hong Kong, and Macao. Activities will be organized, including the Zhuhai-Macao Photography Invitation Exhibition, which will display outstanding works by photographers from both regions, as well as performances by orchestras from Macao and Zhuhai featuring well-known symphonies from around the world.

Artists and local art troupes participating in the festival will also engage in cultural salons, art flash mobs, and street performances throughout the city - enabling locals and visitors to encounter art in every corner of Zhuhai and to engage in free and romantic dialogues with leading artists.

At the same time, the festival will continue to strengthen its public welfare efforts, offering about 30 free performances, art salons, and themed exhibitions.

Over 30 stage performances will also be available at discount prices for the public to enjoy.
