​National underwater robot contest concludes

On August 13th, the 2023 China Underwater Robot Professional Contest concluded in Jinpu New Area, Dalian city, along with a high-level forum on artificial intelligence and underwater robotics.

The event is the world's first high-level underwater intelligent robot competition held in a real offshore environment, and has successfully completed its seventh edition. 

The final round of the contest featured twenty-one teams participating in the human-machine collaboration and full-automation categories.

These teams showcased their cutting-edge technological innovations and applications in the coastal waters of Dalian Jinshitan National Tourist Resort, encompassing precise grasping, robust robot control, binocular vision-based recognition, millimeter-wave technology and wireless control.

During the event, research teams from several universities such as Dalian University of Technology, Northeastern University and Dalian Maritime University, signed strategic cooperation agreements with marine farming and underwater robotics development companies like Zoneco Group Co Ltd, Dalian Bangchuidao Seafood Limited By Share Ltd and Aubo Robotics Technology Co Ltd. These collaborations are aimed at driving further advancements in the industry.
