Beijing's Shijingshan district recently released a talent introduction plan intended to bring in over 1,000 professionals for key emerging industries such as financial technology, industrial internet and virtual reality to boost regional development in the next three years.

Shijingshan has been an industrial base for much of the capital's modern history. According to the local government, eight enterprises in the district, including Shougang Group, Northern Heavy Industries Group Co Ltd and Beijing Jingneng Power Co Ltd, occupy a total area of more than 1,000 hectares, accounting for 19.6 percent of the district's total construction land area.

In the next three years, Shijingshan plans to focus on the development of high-end industries and key areas such as education, culture and health. By introducing highly qualified personnel, Shijingshan will boost its industrial upgrading and provide support for the district's high-end transformation.

In order to attract talent, Shijingshan will support prospective entrants through policies and financial assistance.

For top talents who are urgently needed in key fields, the "one person, one policy" mechanism will be established based on personalized needs.

For scientific research projects in regional cutting-edge industries, funding support can be provided at a certain proportion of total R&D investment for the project.
