Jinan, Qingdao, Yantai areas of Shandong FTZ to offer mutual recognition of foreign talents' work permits

The management committees of the Jinan Area, Qingdao Area and Yantai Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone have developed a plan for the mutual recognition of work permits for foreign talents.

This aims to boost the flow of foreign high-end and professional talents in the Shandong FTZ, and build a more open mechanism for talent cooperation and sharing, in order to contribute to the high-quality and integrated development of the Shandong FTZ.

The plan applies to foreign high-end talents (category A) and foreign professional talents (category B).

For example, a Danish expert recently requested that his work permit be transferred from the Yantai Area to the Jinan Area. After confirming the expert has met the requirements for the relevant positions in the Yantai Area, the social affairs staff in Jinan reviewed the documents online and issued a new work permit the same day.
