Statistics showed that in the first six months of this year, the number of newly established foreign-invested enterprises in Jinan increased by 39.06 percent year-on-year.

Behind the increase were the city's efforts to improve services such as facilitating procedures and extending operation time to foreign-invested enterprises.

For example, in 2022, the State Administration for Market Regulation granted the market supervision bureaus of Jinan's Lixia district, Tianqiao district, Laiwu district, and Shanghe county to register foreign-funded enterprises. This resolved the long-standing issues, such as the distance and long waiting times involved in the registration process, faced by foreign-invested enterprises, which garnered praise from foreign-invested enterprises located in more remote areas.

The officials of the market supervision bureau of Jinan have also paid efforts to help large chain foreign enterprises register their branch institutions in Jinan. After conducting in-depth research and understanding their needs to make targeted improvements, they have conducted investigations on the headquarters of 16 large-scale chain enterprises in the city, achieving comprehensive coverage through on-site visits, telephone communication, and the distribution of questionnaires. Based on the investigation results, they have researched and formulated plans further to facilitate registration work for branch institutions of foreign-invested enterprises.

Over 10 branch institutions of large chain foreign enterprises have concentrated on registration, saving considerable time and costs.
