Jinpu sees robust growth in foreign-funded enterprises in H1

Jinpu New Area has welcomed 15,830 newly signed-up market entities in the first half of 2023, showing a year-on-year growth of 3 percent. Notably, there were 7,303 new domestic enterprises, marking a solid growth of 2.71 percent, impressive 83 new foreign-funded enterprises, representing a remarkable surge of 16.9 percent year-on-year.

Among the newly added market entities, 8,426 were self-employed households, showing a 3.16 percent increase year-on-year, while 7,386 were various types of enterprises, indicating a 2.85 percent year-on-year rise.

The number of registered entities in primary industry was 626, experiencing substantial growth of 42.27 percent year-on-year. The second industry welcomed 1,097 new entities, while the third industry saw the highest number with 14,107 new entities, registering a notable 4.4 percent increase year-on-year.

As of June 2023, Jinpu New Area boasted a total of 235,961 market entities, indicating a 7.06 percent year-on-year growth, accounting for 25.38 percent of the total market entities in Dalian. Moreover, there were 102,484 various types of enterprises, reporting an 8.8 percent year-on-year increase, comprising 28.64 percent of the city's total.

Among them, there were 99,899 domestic enterprises, reflecting a 9.07 percent year-on-year growth, occupying 28.45 percent of the city's total. Additionally, there were 2,585 foreign-funded enterprises, making up 38.95 percent of the city's total. Furthermore, there were 132,849 self-employed households, marking a 5.76 percent year-on-year growth, comprising 23.42 percent of the city's total.
