​DETDZ makes it to Top 100 in national rankings

Dalian Economic and Technological Development Zone secured an impressive 46th position in the ranking of top 100 parks in high-quality development in 2023, recently released by CCID, a Chinese consulting firm. This marks a significant improvement from last year, making it the top-ranked park in the northeast Chinese region.

DETDZ has been keeping good momentum in its economic and social development in years. In 2022, DETDZ witnessed a 4 percent increase in regional GDP compared to the previous year, with fixed asset investment growing by 6.4 percent, and actual foreign investment utilization soaring by 33.2 percent. Additionally, there was 5.6 percent rise in general public budget revenue and a 7.3 percent increase in industrial output.

The zone's performance has been consistently rising in the national evaluation of economic development zones. It climbed from 29th place in 2019 to 20th in 2020, then further to 18th in 2021, and finally reaching 15th in 2022.

Currently, DETDZ hosts over 37,000 enterprises, including more than 2,100 foreign-invested enterprises. It boasts 75 prestigious Fortune 500 enterprises. The zone has successfully formed a core industrial cluster, focusing on five major industries: equipment manufacturing, petrochemicals, electronic information, automotive and components, and biopharmaceuticals.
