The Canal Hub, a brand new cultural landmark in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, opened to the public on July 1.

As a new landmark along the Grand Canal, the hub was renovated from the Wuxi Iron and Steel Works, which was established in 1958. The new hub makes full use of the industrial remains to preserve the old industrial culture.

More than 80 stores, including several that are the first stores of specific brands in Wuxi and a number of flagship stores, opened at the Canal Hub and the ballet The Moon Over a Fountain premiered at the hub on the same day.
