At 11 a.m. on June 13, the first pontoon in Zhangjiajie was launched successfully at Jiangya Wharf in Cili County. After the pontoon is put into use, it marks that the water transportation services in Cili County have been upgraded by leaps and bounds.

The Xiangshuiyun No.0801 pontoon is a floating infrastructure that integrates multiple functions. The pontoon has a total length of 28 meters, a height of 2 floors, with 12 functional cabins and a conference room that can hold 30 people, which is equipped with computers, air conditioning, and electronic screens. It provides a strong platform for strengthening traffic safety supervision, ensuring water traffic safety, and improving emergency response capabilities.

This pontoon and its supporting maritime patrol boat are the result of the Cili County Water Transport Center's efforts to comprehensively promote the standardization and modernization of water transport.

In recent years, the center has adhered to speeding up the construction of water transport infrastructure, completed the standardized transformation of 56 ferries and the standardization of 32 ferries, built a water video monitoring center, 2 AIS base stations, set up 14 meteorological public signs, and installed a Beidou shipborne terminal positioning system for 45 vessels.

In order to accelerate the construction of a strong transportation county, in May 2023, an application was made to the Hunan Provincial Department of Transportation for the adjustment of the 14th Five-Year Plan ( 2021-2025) to accelerate the construction of waterways, docks, and vessels.
