With the resumption of three international passenger routes from Zhangjiajie to Cheongju, Muan, and Incheon in South Korea, Zhangjiajie has opened 6 international passenger routes as of June 8. The next step will be to gradually open international flights to Osaka, Japan and other places.

At present, Zhangjiajie Port has an average of 20 international flights per week (with 3 airlines on the Vietnam route alone), and in the future, there will be more than 40 international flights per week. As of May 31, Zhangjiajie Port has operated a total of 168 international flights, with 24,100 inbound and outbound passengers, with an average passenger load factor of 70.9%.

Since this year, compared with Guilin, Mount Huang, Lijiang, Sanya and other similar tourist cities, Zhangjiajie has resumed its international flights earlier,  with more international routes, denser flight schedules and larger passenger flows. The international passenger throughput is expected to reach nearly 200,000 in Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport throughout the year.
