The First China International Aviation and Aerospace Industry Expo is scheduled to take place in Beijing in this autumn, according to its organizing committee.

The expo is being held by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Beijing Municipal People's Government, and is intended to serve as a platform for displaying and promoting civilian and space aviation companies, organizers said.

The expo will take place from Sept 25 to 30 at the Beijing Daxing International Airport and will cover eight hectares, the organizing committee said, adding that it plans to invite at least 200 leading companies from 20 nations and regions.

During the 6-day event, an estimated 50,000 visitors will be able to see a wide range of exhibits including jetliners, cargo planes, helicopters, utility aircraft, amphibious planes, engines and spacecraft, as well as drones.

It is hoped the expo will inject momentum into the national aviation and space industries, organizers said.
