Enterprises from North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region are showcasing their products at the ongoing 133rd China Import and Export Fair, which has attracted a lot of attention.

A total of 126 Inner Mongolian enterprises have set up 409 exhibition booths at the fair this year, seeking opportunities to sign deals.

The event, also known as the Canton Fair, is expected to play an essential role in boosting the region's foreign trade and expansion into the international market.

The fair kicked off in Guangzhou, capital city of South China's Guangdong province, on April 15 and will last until May 5.

As an important window for China's opening-up and its foreign trade, it has reached record highs in both the number of exhibitors and the scale of its exhibition area.

After a lapse of three years, this year's Canton Fair has completely resumed offline exhibitions for the first time.

It has attracted exhibitors from 366 countries and regions to participate offline. The number of exhibitors rose from 25,000 to 34,900, with new exhibitors exceeding 9,000.

The total exhibition area of the fair increased from 1.18 million square meters to 1.5 million sq m, and the number of booths increased from 60,000 to nearly 70,000.
