The 5th International Commercial & Legal Cooperation Forum will take place in Changsha from March 22nd to 24th. It is hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and organized by the CCPIT Commercial Legal Service Center, the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) Bilateral Cooperation Department, and the Changsha Municipal People's Government. With the theme of "Guaranteeing High-standard Opening up by Rule of Law, Promoting High-quality Development Through Cooperation", the forum will contribute wisdom and strength to China's efforts to open up in a larger scope, wider areas, and at a deeper level, and to build an open world economy.

The 2021 Matchmaking and Exchange Meeting Between Foreign Embassies and Consulates in China and Enterprises yielded remarkable results.

The government of Changsha, an important node city of the Belt and Road, has always been attaching importance to the forum's role as a bridge serving local economic development. Various activities will be organized during the forum, including bilateral economic and trade exchange and matchmaking meetings between foreign embassies and consulates in China and Changsha and between international business associations and Changsha, and visits to the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area. Economic and trade exchange platforms will be built. Representatives of Changsha-based enterprises will be invited to have in-depth exchanges with foreign diplomatic envoys to China and representatives of international business associations and share economic and trade cooperation and investment opportunities. These efforts will promote high-level "bringing in" and "going global" and serve foreign-invested enterprises settling in Changsha and Changsha enterprises going global.

The forum will continue to adopt a combined mode of online and offline activities. More than 300 people from Chinese and foreign government agencies, international organizations, foreign embassies and consulates in China, international business associations, well-known enterprises and industry organizations will be invited to the forum.

The forum has been held in Changsha for four consecutive sessions. It originates in Changsha, exerts an influence on the whole country and connects with the world. Representatives of ministerial-level officials, foreign diplomatic envoys to China, business associations, international commercial dispute settlement and legal service organizations, and enterprises from 137 countries and regions attended the forum. In addition, over 3,000 and 700,000 people have participated in offline and online events, respectively. A total of 245 national and local media outlets covered the forum, resulting in more than 50 million exposures.
