Jinzhou, also known as "the root of Dalian history and culture," is a district in Dalian, with a history that dates back over a thousand years. This ancient city has a rich cultural heritage that is preserved in its various historical landmarks.

One of the best maintained government offices in Jinzhou is the Jinzhou Vice-General Yamen Museum. Built in 1843, this museum was a government office for vice commanders-in-chief of the Eight Banners. The Eight Banners refer to military-administrative organizations of the Manchu ethnic group in the Qing Dynasty. The main structure of the museum is in typical Ming and Qing Dynasty style, with offices in the front and a home at the back, which was very typical in northern China at that period.

Visiting the Jinzhou Vice-General Yamen Museum is a journey back in time, where the ancient bricks and walls reflect the grandeur of its heydays, offering visitors a glimpse into China's rich cultural past.
