The grand Cantonese Opera work The Mad Phoenix will greet audiences at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center on April 21 and 22. The production centers on the life story of Jiang Yuliu (1910-84), a legendary playwright who was active during the 1930s and known for promoting Cantonese Opera.
