The Jimei University Science Experiment Building, formerly the Science Experiment Building of Jimei School, which was built in 1922, is testimony to Mr. Tan Kah Kee's advanced educational philosophy as well as the embodiment of the high-quality education available at Jimei School.

Tan, a patriotic overseas Chinese business pioneer and philanthropist, attached great importance to the cultivation of students' scientific spirit.

The building has become an important heritage site and an innovation practice base for carrying forward Tan's spirit of sincerity and perseverance.

It now functions as the College of Fine Arts and Design's digital innovation center  at Jimei University.
