June 26: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 25, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 39 new cases of confirmed infections (37 imported cases, 9 in Guangdong province, 8 in Tianjin municipality, 6 in Fujian province, 4 in Shanghai municipality, 4 in Yunnan province, 2 in Jiangsu province, 2 in Sichuan province, 1 in Heilongjiang province and 1 in Gansu province, including 9 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 4 in Tianjin municipality, 3 in Guangdong province, 1 in Fujian province and 1 in Sichuan province; 2 indigenous cases, 1 in Beijing municipality and 1 in Guangdong province), no deaths, and no new cases of suspected infections.

On June 25, 76 patients were released from hospital after being cured (15 imported cases; 61 indigenous cases, 23 in Shanghai municipality, 18 in Beijing municipality, 15 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 3 in Liaoning province, 1 in Hebei province and 1 in Chongqing municipality). 7,981 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases decreased by 1.

As of 24:00 on June 25, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 19,271 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 18,955 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 316 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on June 25, the National Health Commission had received reports of 225,526 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 219,714 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 586 confirmed cases (including 2 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 4,247,328 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 104,709 were still under medical observation.

On June 25, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 77 new asymptomatic cases (65 imported cases; 12 indigenous cases, 7 in Liaoning province, 4 in Guangdong province and 1 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region).

On June 25, 146 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (54 imported cases; 92 indigenous cases, 29 in Shanghai municipality, 27 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 19 in Beijing municipality, 6 in Jilin province, 5 in Liaoning province, 2 in the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, 1 in Hebei province, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Sichuan province and 1 in Yunnan province). 9 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (all were imported cases). As of 24:00 on June 25, 1,004 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 511 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on June 25, 3,910,173 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 336,341 in Hong Kong (9,398 had died and 63,620 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 129 in Macao (83 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 3,573,703 in Taiwan (6,120 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
