Hunan exhibit presents women’s role, image in ancient China

The Hunan Museum will open an exhibit on June 23, showcasing more than 120 women-themed cultural relics. Figure paintings in the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, bronze ware, ceramics and embroideries will present women’s contribution to family, social values, spiritual empowerment and self-awareness in ancient China. The exhibit will run until Oct 30.
