Zhou said the industrial internet is a brand new industrial eco-system with a deep integration of information technology and industrial economy. It is also a key infrastructure and new-type application mode, a critical driver for replacing old growth drivers with new ones.

He suggested establishing an open-source alliance of industrial internet platforms, and said developers should be encouraged to participate in open-source-code contributions and the application of open-source systems to accelerate firms' digital transformation and empowerment.
