Nov 27: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On Nov 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 5 new cases of confirmed infections (all were imported cases, 3 in Shanghai municipality, 1 in Fujian province and 1 in Shaanxi province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 8 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 930 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases increased by 1.

As of 24:00 on Nov 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 3,826 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 3,551 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 275 confirmed cases (including 4 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Nov 26, the National Health Commission had received reports of 86,495 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 81,558 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 303 confirmed cases (including 8 cases in serious condition) and 4 suspected cases. 878,275 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 10,191 were still under medical observation.

On Nov 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 8 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 21 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all were imported cases) and no asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on Nov 26, 308 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 304 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Nov 26, 6,618 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 5,947 in Hong Kong (108 had died and 5,300 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 625 in Taiwan (7 had died and 555 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
