The Xiamen trade group inked several deals with foreign enterprises on the first day of the ongoing third China International Import Expo (CIIE), local media reported.

The deals involve agricultural projects, cloud robots and high-end medical equipment.

Xiamen C&D Corp, a large industrial and investment enterprise in Xiamen, Fujian province, signed an agreement worth $650 million with Singapore-based Olam, aiming to introduce more high-quality agricultural products and resources to China.

The group also reached a strategic cooperation agreement with Brazil's Suzano, the world's largest pulp supplier, and both sides agreed to optimize and integrate resources to deepen cooperation in supply chains.

More deals will be inked between Xiamen C&D Corp and several Fortune Global 500 companies in the following days at the CIIE, such as Japan's Marubeni Corp, and Thermo Fisher, a scientific equipment maker in the United States. The deals include metallic mineral products, chemical products, high-end medical equipment and food.

Xiamen ITG Holding Group signed a collaboration agreement with highly celebrated international brands such as Philips to expand cooperation in the medical industry.

"Philips has maintained long-term cooperation with Xiamen ITG Holding Group, and both sides will carry out further cooperation in fields such as medical big data applications," according to Ye Jiang, vice-president of Philips Greater China.

Ye praised the high efficiency and open business environment of Xiamen, and said he is willing to cooperate with Xiamen ITG Holding Group in more fields in the future.
