China Energy presents successful Belt and Road cooperation effort

The digital communication company of People's Daily released the first Belt and Road High-quality Development Case Report on Oct 25 in Beijing, detailing China Energy's successful cooperation efforts in Indonesia to serve as an example to other Chinese companies involved in the Belt and Road construction.

The report describes an in-depth investigation of China Energy’s Guohua thermal power projects in Indonesia, highlighting the project’s 14 years of development and its symbiotic development model integrating strategy, benefits, quality, technology, talent, people's livelihood, industry, environment and culture.

Energy cooperation is a key component of the Belt and Road Initiative, said Zhao Jiaming, deputy editor-in-chief of the People's Daily. China Energy has set a good example in energy infrastructure construction and cooperation in the exploration and development of traditional energy resources as well as clean and renewable energy, said Zhao.

Liu Guoyue, general manager of China Energy, said that the company has been actively working to construct the Belt and Road and has strengthened international cooperation in all aspects. Adhering to the concept of win-win cooperation, the company has created a symbiotic development path for international cooperation.

China Energy has made outstanding contributions to the development of Indonesia by carrying out extensive cooperation with the country over the past few years, said Djauhari Oratmangun, Indonesian Ambassador to China, at the conference. Indonesia encourages Chinese companies to continue to increase investment in the areas of mining, manufacturing, healthcare and infrastructure in Indonesia, he added.

Wei Xiaowei, deputy director of the International Cooperation Department of the National Energy Administration, said that China is currently formulating its "14th Five-Year" energy development plan, aiming to expand the clean energy industry and promote clean and efficient use of energy. China is willing to deepen energy cooperation in all aspects with Indonesia, benefiting both the economy and people of the two countries as well as promoting the sustainable development of global energy and maintaining global energy security.

Liu Fuguang, deputy head of the Bureau of Publicity of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, said at the meeting that the central SOEs have taken the lead in constructing the Belt and Road in recent years, promoting the allocation of industries, economic growth and cultural integration in countries along the Belt and Road through high-quality cooperation, products, and services.

These outstanding Chinese State-owned enterprises are bringing increased production capacity to countries that need it and have carried out many valuable practices that are worthy of in-depth summary and promotion.

More and more countries and international organizations have advocated for the ideas of extensive consultation, contribution and shared benefits since the Belt and Road Initiative began, said guests attending a round table dialogue at the press conference.

China Energy's symbiotic model has created a strong example to help Chinese companies increase cooperation overseas.
