Since the beginning of this year, Hechi has optimized its business adjustments and took measures to promote the implementation of various policies that benefit enterprises and people. To date, more than 4 billion yuan ($593.19 million) in social insurance benefits have been granted to 621,837 people.

In order to overcome the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, the Hechi human resources and social security department focused on service matters involving the interests of the public and the concerns of enterprises. It also utilized media platforms like newspapers, television, websites, and official WeChat accounts to publicize the content of policies that benefited enterprises and people, as well as the management process.

The department also took the initiative to send social insurance policy dividends to enterprises and citizens without providing any materials. Online self-service of government affairs related to unemployment insurance and benefits was also promoted, allowing unemployed people to handle them with their ID cards.

As of the end of August, the city has collected 153.97 million yuan less in social insurance premiums and issued 35.59 million yuan of funds to 1,694 enterprises for stabilizing jobs, benefiting 55,429 employees. A total of 34.09 million yuan in unemployment insurance benefits were granted to 21,626 people, while 1.84 million yuan in unemployment subsidies were issued to 1,589 people.
