Fountain show lights up night life in Shenyang

Zhongshan Park in Shenyang city -- capital of Northeast China's Liaoning province -- started showing two exciting and pulsating fountain light shows nightly at 19:30 and 20:30 from Aug 11.

The music fountain in Chenchi Square in Zhongshan Park covers an area of about 500 square meters and the square is equipped with advanced full-color laser projectors, 387 nozzles in various sizes and shapes, 183 water pumps and some 500 sets of lights, according to the director of Heping district's urban environment management center.

Popular performance forms such as full-color laser shows and bubble shows are adopted in the music fountain, which features advanced three-dimensional numerical control technology, allowing the fountain to operate in 11 shapes.

The selection of musical fountains will also be changed regularly according to different occasions and festivals such as the coming Chinese Valentine's Day on Aug 25 and the National Day on Oct 1, to offer visitors fresh audio-visual experiences each time.

The 20-minute fountain light show each evening will last until October, officials said.
