Summer wheat harvest begins

Farmers at Shengyijindi Farm in Taonan, Jilin province, recently started harvesting their summer wheat, which waves in the wind like a golden sea.

Through the treatment of saline-alkali land and introduction of irrigation water, around 466 hectares produced a bumper crop of an improved variety of wheat this year.

Farmers and machines work together to gather, transport and dry the mature wheat.
