Stalls and snack bars along commercial and snack streets in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, have regained popularity among residents as the city's nighttime economy sees a rapid recovery.

Temporary booth areas were set up uniformly, with the application procedures more standardized according to regulations issued in June.

Location:

Inner square of Shuitingmen historic and cultural block

Hours:

6:30 pm-10:00 pm

Shuitingmen boasts the largest number of ancient buildings as well as other historic and cultural sites in Quzhou, including two heritage sites under State protection, 12 heritage sites under provincial and municipal protection and 36 municipal-level historic buildings.

Moreover, traditional handicraft-making stores and century-old brands make Shuitingmen a living museum where tourists can experience local culture and admire exquisite handicrafts.

The Shuitingmen Night Market is one of the busiest and most popular of several night markets in Quzhou. The market has 56 booths, mainly selling original handicrafts and antiques.

Location:

Shidai Square (16 Xianxi Street)

Hours:

5:00 pm-10:00 pm

Flowers, clothes and cool treats are available at this night market, while home decoration, appliance repair and other consulting services are also available.

"It's so lively here," said a visitor. "I haven't seen a night market in the city for a long time, so I came in and had a look around. Due to the epidemic, I haven't even been out for dinner in recent months. Now I can see increasing prosperity when I visit such a busy night market."
