July 14: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On July 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 3 new cases of confirmed infections (all were imported cases in Shanghai municipality), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 26 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 508 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained unchanged.

As of 24:00 on July 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 1,982 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 1,897 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 85 confirmed cases (including 2 in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on July 13, the National Health Commission had received reports of 83,605 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 78,674 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 297 confirmed cases (including 3 cases in serious condition) and 5 suspected cases. 766,903 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 3,267 were still under medical observation.

On July 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 5 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 5 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 3 imported cases) and no asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on July 13, 110 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 87 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on July 13, 2,018 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,521 in Hong Kong (8 had died and 1,217 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (45 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 451 in Taiwan (7 had died and 440 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
