East China's Fujian province donated a batch of medical supplies to seven African countries to help them fight against the COVID-19 epidemic, according to a local news report on June 28.

The medical supplies were donated by some Fujian enterprises investing in Africa. They included 250,000 medical masks and 2,000 forehead thermometers, and will be sent to Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Ghana, the Democratic  Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Madagascar and the Central African Republic.

Since the COVID-19 outbreak, governments at all levels in Fujian have spared no effort in helping with donations of medical supplies and equipment to support Africa in its fight against the virus. The province has donated 10,000 N95 face masks and 130,000 medical masks to its international sister cities and provinces in South Africa, Kenya and Mauritania, as well as to international organizations.

A large number of Fujian enterprises which invested in Africa, such as China Wuyi and Fujian Zijin Mining Group, also played an active role in the fight against the epidemic, taking concrete steps to deliver its commitment to the development of an even stronger China-Africa community with a shared future.
