This episode of Halal Chopsticks is about the local cuisine of northwest China’s Ningxia Hui autonomous region, where the Yellow River runs through deserts. Ningxia is home to the Hui Nationality in China and is known for its time-honored halal food.
Deriving from arid deserts, the cooking culture of Ningxia can be described as bold; but it also has delicious aquatic products from the Yellow River as specialties.
