The four famous traditional desserts refer to sesame cakes, baked cakes, sesame cookies and white sesame slices.
The sesame cake is shaped like mooncake, with a golden surface and an attractive scent. The baked cakes are thick and square. After baking, the cakes are burnt yellow in color and crunchy and sweet to taste. Sesame cookies, also named “Cun Jin”, are snacks similar to stick cookies, which taste crispy and extremely sweet. “Cun Jin” means “to cherish time, because time is money”. The white sesame slice is made by syrup and white sesame. After stirring, the mixture of syrup and white sesame is fried in the pot until it is cooked through. The finished food will be cut into two-inch square slices with a sharp knife. The white sesame slice is both sweet and savory with a sesame flavor.
