Chengdu Maocai, similar to hot pot, is a kind of spicy and delicious food. The so-called Maocai is composed of meat and a variety of vegetables, with ingredients such as sprouts, lotus root, tofu, chicken, pork and beef. All of the ingredients will be put into a colander made of bamboo, and then boiled in a pot of spicy soup. After blanching, a bowl of Maocai is ready to eat with some seasoning.
