As a key hub of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, Southwest China's Guizhou province is committed to the operation of freight trains along the corridor.

To date, Guizhou has operated 40 freight trains, which transported the volume of over 2,500 containers. By 2020, the number of freight trains will increase to 72 with a freight volume of at least 4,400 containers.

By then, the logistics transportation time will be reduced by 30 percent, and costs will drop 20 percent compared to the 2018 total.

In the future, Guizhou will make full use of its advantages in big data to integrate the data of customs, logistics, and foreign trade with port construction. The land-sea trade corridor is expected to promote the agricultural products in Guizhou's impoverished areas.

To provide better services for import and export enterprises, Guizhou established a management company in May focusing on freight forwarding, gathering, and transportation along the land-sea trade corridor.
