Forum on rule of law in internet opens in Wuzhen

A world forum on governing cyberspace by rule of law opened in Wuzhen, East China's Zhejiang province, on Thursday morning.

The World Forum on Rule of Law in Internet, held by the Supreme People's Court, the country's top court, has attracted presidents, judges and legal professionals from about 20 countries and regions.

The theme of the forum is focused on building and promoting the cyberspace community with a shared future by rule of law.

The guests from home and abroad gathered to discuss six hot issues on the internet judiciary during the one-day forum, including innovation and development of online courts, rights protection in the digital era, data protection and artificial intelligence process in judicial affairs.

On Wednesday, the top court issued a white paper titled Chinese Courts and Internet Judiciary, introducing how Chinese courts have applied technologies into their work to improve judicial efficiency and transparency in recent years as well as showing judicial challenges and opportunities in the internet era.
