Taiyuan National High and New Technology Industrial Development Zone

It is one of 54 state level high and new tech zones in the country. After the construction of more than 10 years, it has now become a leading zone in the development of Taiyuan city and the important base for the development of high and new tech industry in Shanxi province, creating a way of innovation which is suitable for the development of itself. At present, there are 2,200 enterprises residing in the zone, among which 486 enterprises have been recognized as high and new tech enterprises, occupying almost 70 percent of the total number of high and new tech enterprises in the whole province. Persisting in the opening to outside, Taiyuan High and New Tech Development zone is playing a more and more important role and establishing a wide cooperation and contacts with 15 countries and regions in the world. Using state level career creation zone for the returned overseas students, innovation base for returned Chinese youth from abroad and the base of international cooperation for medium and small enterprises as the platforms, the zone has already introduced 177 people who had been studying abroad and 94 newly established enterprises.
