Shenyang Palace Museum, in the center of Shenyang city, is the former imperial palace of the early Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It was built in 1625 and it was home to the first three Qing emperors from 1625 to 1644. Since the end of the monarchy in China, the palace has been converted into a museum. In 2004, it was included on the UNESCO World Heritage List as an extension of the Imperial Palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties, or the Forbidden City located in Beijing.
Marshal Zhang's Mansion Museum stands on a cultural relic protection site - Zhang's Residence site in Shenyang, the capital of China's Liaoning province. Marshal Zhang's Mansion was the private house of Marshal Zhang Zuolin and his eldest son Zhang Xueliang, a great patriot, during the Republic of China period (1912-1949).
