Nantong introduces mascots for forest tour festival

The mascots for the 2019 China Forest Tour Festival were introduced during a ceremony at Langshan National Forest Park in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, on June 12.

According to Zhu Jinhua, director of the executive committee of the festival, the design was inspired by the Five Mountains in Nantong and has adhered to the philosophy that “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets”.

The mascots are wearing Nantong blue calico, an intangible cultural heritage item, adorned with grandiflora, the city tree, and chrysanthemum, the city flower.
